(Radio.com) A police report has revealed new details behind Chris Brown and Frank Ocean's parking lot alteration last week."Suspect Brown, also a music artist, was parked in the victim's assigned parking spot," the report says. "He walked to Suspect Brown in the lobby of the Studio and told Suspect Brown that he was parked in his parking spot." When Brown went to shake his hand, Ocean pulled away and Brown then "punched the victim on the side of his face." Two additional men got involved and beat up Ocean, the report states. "The victim believes he might have heard someone yell, 'f—-t!' (homophobic slur) but was unsure who, if anyone, made the statement. After the beating, Brown allegedly said, 'We can bust on you too!'" The word "bust" is described as a threat to shoot Ocean. more on this story

(Radio.com) From the "Beyonce blackout" to Jacoby Jones' 108-yard kick-off return, the Super Bowl offered lots of highlights on the field and stage. But Lil Wayne let the sparks fly before game day when a cameraman set off the YMCMB leader with a bump.Wayne participated in the "DirecTV Celeb Beach Bowl" on Saturday (February 2) in his hometown of New Orleans, where he played in a game of flag football. He didn't seemed fazed by his team's loss but was pretty ticked off as a result of a bump from a cameraman. In his post-game interview with E! News, Weezy lost his cool and decided to leave the building rather than deal with the authorities or return the shove he claimed he had received. "One of these camera dudes just pushed me right now," a visibly distraught Wayne explained. "I don't like being touched by other people I don't tell to touch me. So I'm gonna get out of the building, because if I touch someone, I go to jail because they are not the same color as me, so you know how that go." more on this story

The cruise ship employee that was suing actor John Travolta for assault has reportedly decided to drop the lawsuit. Last week a judge ruled against Travolta's attorney's motion that the case be handled through arbitration and would therefore be heard in open court. On Monday the case was dismissed, according to TMZ who report that the terms were not disclosed, making it unclear if Travolta made a financial settlement with the cruise ship. The actor was sued by Fabian Zanzi, a cruise ship employee, last summer. Zanzi claimed that Travolta exposed himself to the employee in his stateroom, and forcibly embraced the employee after requesting a neck message, according to TMZ.

(Radio.com) A$AP Rocky hit number one with his debut album, Long.Live.A$AP. But some critics, most notably Tyler, the Creator, had a problem with A$AP's flashy hit single, "F–kin' Problem," which features Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, and Drake. Shortly after Rocky released "F–kin' Problems," Tyler tweeted a not-so-subtle dig. "So funny when someone releases a new song with the same four people that we expected to be on it with the same sh*tty 'Trap' beat…" Despite the jabs thrown his way, A$AP bats away any suggestion of beef with the Odd Future frontman. "He has his opinions and he's entitled to them, so it's whatever," he told LifeAndTimes. "Hell no, I'm not tripping over what Tyler, The Creator said. I'm Jiggy." more on this story

(Radio.com) Sting has just been added to the long list of performers at the Grammys. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who hasn't released a new album since 2009′s If On A Winter's Night…, will hit the stage in a collaborative performance that will feature a pair of hitmakers from a younger generation, Bruno Mars and Rihanna. There are no details on what the trio will sing, although Mars' music — like Sting's when he fronted the Police — often has a reggae influence, as does Rihanna's. Sting has played the GRAMMYS a number of times in recent years. In 2007, The Police not only kicked off their reunion tour with a performance of "Roxanne," but opened the night's show. more on this story

(Radio.com) Tim McGraw is having a good day. At least it appears that way, from how energized and engaged he is during a recent interview with Radio.com, talking about his brand-new album, Two Lanes of Freedom."I feel there's way more ahead of me than behind me," Tim says. "It's just sort of an open road. I'm really only 35 percent into what I'm here to do musically." Released on Tuesday (Feb. 5), Two Lanes of Freedom is Tim's first record on his new label Big Machine Records (he had been signed to Curb Records since the mid-1990s). It's his 12th studio record overall. Switching to a new label, he says, doesn't necessarily affect the recording process–writing and finding songs, cutting them in a studio–it's more about support after the fact. "You don't have to worry about what's going to happen with the music, how it's going to be presented." But he does admit that this new energy from the business side may have an indirect impact on the recording itself. "I'm sure in a certain way that backwashes into the making of the record, and the feeling of the record. And we certainly felt like we had a weight off our shoulders when we went in there to record it." more on this story

(Radio.com) Ed Sheeran will perform a duet with Elton John during Sunday's 55th Grammy Awards and he revealed how it all unfolded."I just got a call from him about two months ago just saying, 'Yeah I've been trying to get you a slot playing on the Grammys.' I was like, 'Okay, cool!' Should be fun." While Ed's no stranger to having duet partners he's curious at how rehearsing with Elton will take place. "I've dueted with a lot of musicians in the past. Rehearsing with them you just invite them around your house, have a cup of tea and a play," he said. "How do you rehearse with Elton John? What do you do? He basically only plays one piano so it has to be his piano and I have to go to wherever that is." Nominated for Song of the Year for "The A Team," Ed Sheeran is humbled yet realistic. "It's got some big competition there," he told Y98/St. Louis. more on this story

(Radio.com) What started as simple advice from a mother to her daughter became one of the well-known and beloved songs of 2012.Nominated for three GRAMMYs including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, the song began organically. Radio.com chatted with songwriter Ali Tamposi and producer Greg Kurstin, two of the masterminds behind Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." On the day of her writing session with Jorgen Elofsson and David Gamson, Ali was spending time with her mom who was in town visiting. "I was going through a break-up from someone I had been with for seven years. In the midst of tears, anger, and a bad attitude she said the magic words, 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger,'" Ali recalled. Those words resonated with her and when it came time to picking the song's title it was a natural contender. "From there, the session was over in about three hours. We all felt really good about the song," she said. "A couple of months later, David Gamson emailed us the demo. My mind was blown! I'll never forget all of the 'smash' responses from our managers and publishers on the email chain." more.

(Radio.com) An investigative report by the L.A. Times highlighting the connection between large-scale raves (specifically those promoted by event firms Go Ventures and Insomniac) and a series of drug-related deaths has sparked Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella to launch an online call to action against the newspaper's claims. The story details 14 drug-related deaths that have occurred at Insomniac and Go Ventures events since 2006. "As part of their mission to twist facts to suit their sensational story, the L.A. Times treated the opinions of a few people as gospel, turned everyone who enjoys electronic music events into villains, and ignored anyone that did not agree with their biased opinion," reads the letter Rotella posted to his Instagram account in response to the front-page story. "Rather than addressing the real issue, rampant drug use in the United States, Rong-Gong "Ron" Lin II and his team preferred to attack our company, our events, our music and Pasquale instead of doing any credible research on health and safety issues facing large music festivals across the world," the letter added. more on this story
