Miley Cyrus Gives Paparazzo Taste Of His Own Medicine

(Radio.com) In a world in which the rich, famous, infamous and even those that are talked about at length are photographed, sometimes more than we care to see, celebrities are fighting back.

On that list of fighting back, one can add Miley Cyrus. The former "Hannah Montana" star recently gave a member of the Paparazzi a "taste of his own medicine" when Cyrus turned the (sometimes intrusive) photography tables and began shooting him!

In the video, one can hear Cyrus "narrating" the video she is capturing of the photographer. "Isn't it fun being filmed while you're on a walk?" Cyrus sarcastically offers to the viewers of her video.

Cyrus who is engaged (or already married?) to Liam Hemsworth captured the photographer capturing pictures of her. Watch the video and read more here.

Kelly Clarkson Named Top Earning American Idol

(popmusiclife) Kelly Clarkson has topped money magazine Forbes list of 2012's top-earning American Idols.

Forbes reports Clarkson leads the list with earnings of $8 million, about what Nicki Minaj makes for her role on Idol and twice what Keith Urban gets.

More than a decade after winning Season One, Clarkson continues to grow her career, and her bank account, with the help of gold-certified album "Stronger", a mentor role on The Voice, a Toyota commercial and a lucrative tour.

Forbes' numbers are based on estimated income from May 2011 to May 2012, before subtracting taxes, American Idol's cut and any additional fees for agents, lawyers and managers. Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry tied for the second spot.

Randy Travis Sentenced For Wild DUI Arrest

Country singer Randy Travis has received a 180 day suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to drunk driving on Thursday.

The arrest occurred last August in Texas after a 911 caller reported seeing a naked man in the street. He was originally booked for "retaliation and obstruction" after refusing to take a Breathalyzer test and threatening to shoot officers, according to the LA Times.

Travis avoided the retaliation charge with his guilty plea but is facing two years of probation and a $2,000 fine. If he is found breaking the law within the next two years he could be forced to serve the 180 day jail sentence.

Part of the deal also requires Travis to place himself in an inpatient alcohol treatment facility for a minimum of 30 days and complete 100 hours of community service, according to TMZ.

Also for the next two years he is required to install a ignition interlock device on any vehicle that he drives. The device is used to check the blood alcohol level of a driver and prevents the driver from starting a vehicle if they are intoxicated, according to the report.

Ron Jeremy Currently on Respirator After Heart Aneurysm

Ron Jeremy is currently on a respirator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after undergoing two emergency surgeries this week to treat a heart aneurysm.

The Daily News spoke with Jeremy's 94-year-old father Arnold Hyatt about his condition, "Right now everything is in a holding pattern," Hyatt said. "He's heavily sedated and intubated. The doctors are waiting to see what develops. They anticipate it will be two or three days before they take him off the respirator."

An unnamed source reported to be close to Jeremy told TMZ, "Ron is in ICU and will be there for a few days but and will remain at the hospital for at least 2 weeks until doctors can see how he reacts to the surgeries."

As we reported on Thursday, The 59-year-old actor drove himself to Cedars-Sinai hospital early Wednesday morning after experiencing severe chest pain.

Doctors discovered the aneurysm after examining him, placed him in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital and then performed the surgeries. Read the Daily News report for more details.

Frank Ocean and Alicia Keys To Perform At The Grammys

(Radio.com) Frank Ocean and Alicia Keys have been added to the performance lineup for this year's Grammy Awards.

No doubt a big night for the artist, Ocean is nominated for Record of the Year for "Thinkin Bout You," Album of the Year for Channel Orange, Best New Artist, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Jay-Z & Kanye West's "No Church In the Wild" and Best Short Form Music Video for "No Church In the Wild."

In addition to Justin Timberlake's performance announcement, the first round of presenters for the night have been revealed. Actors Kaley Cuoco and Neil Patrick Harris as well as musicians Faith Hill, Carly Rae Jepsen, Tim McGraw, Katy Perry and Keith Urban have been named presenters.

Previously announced performers include current nominees Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, The Black Keys, fun., the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Jack White, as well as Elton John and current nominee Ed Sheeran. more on this story

Timbaland Immigrates To Jay-Z's Roc Nation

(Radio.com) Jay-Z has expanded his Roc Nation family by signing longtime collaborator Timbaland. The alliance was announced on Jay's LifeandTimes website, clearing the way for a Timbaland resurgence.

The news comes after Justin Timberlake released his Timbaland-produced comeback track "Suit And Tie," whetting the appetite for fans who long for the sounds of 2006′s "SexyBack."

While the signing to Roc Nation surely means more collaborations for Timbaland, it's an expected turn of events. Timbaland has produced some of Jay-Z's biggest works, including the classic "Big Pimpin'," from Vol. 3 … Life and Times of S. Carter.

As a veteran producer, Timbaland has worked in many genres and he's crafted tunes for a long list of artists (Chris Brown, Eminem, No Doubt among them) but he began in the '90s helping to craft the R&B New Jack Swing sound of Jodeci and Aaliyah. more on this story

Justin Bieber Films Miami Concerts With Never Say Never Director

Justin Bieber filmed his two concerts at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Fl last weekend.

Bieber's manager Scooter Braun took to the stage before Saturday's concert and told fans, "Last time we were in Miami it was crazy, so we're going to shoot this like we're shooting a movie."

"So, for tonight and tomorrow in Miami only, Jon M. Chu, the director of Never Say Never is going to be here with all these video cameras shooting you guys and Justin. Miami, prove us right that you are one of the craziest and loudest cities in the world!"

The entertainer went on his Twitter account after the concert that night and told fans, "Yeah word is out.. We are shooting a movie here in Miami. Need u all live tomorrow again!"

It appears that Bieber confirmed they would be used in a movie, however Braun's statement was not a clear cut on the intention for the footage. more on this story

Jennifer Lopez's Divorce Role Hit Close To Home

(Extra) "Extra's" Mario Lopez got to spend time with Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas for an exclusive sit down interview, where the star opened up about life and love.

Jennifer, admitting that her character in "Parker," a woman struggling through a painful divorce, hit close to home.

Mario asked Jennifer about the role, "I gotta imagine it was a bit therapeutic because at the same time you split with Mark." JLo, "The timing was crazy because when they offered me the role it hadn't happened. So I was kind of just thinking about the character and that she was at the worst time in her life. But, when we actually started shooting the film, I was in the worst time of my life, one of the worst times in my life. You know, going through my own divorce. Jennifer continues, "When you have kids and you go through something like that, you can't show them what you're going through, you know. So you have to be so strong all day…and you know when you're working you have to be professional all day…But, in front of the camera, I got to act like how I felt, you know so it was like therapy for me."

As for Jennifer's relationship with Casper Smart, JLo also admitting she wasn't exactly ready to start dating. Mario, "When you met Beau (Casper) were you at the point where you were like ready to date?" JLo, "Uhhhh I think I was at the point more where I was ready to just kind of relax and have a little fun to be quite honest...it just had been months where I was kind of just like hard to get out of bed everyday cause we separated in June, announced it in July. So by the end of the year, I was like you know it's time to go out and have a little bit of fun….You know what I mean, it's time to start picking up the pieces and living your life, you know which is hard after something like that."

Many have questioned whether JLo and Casper will tie the knot. Mario, "Do you think you would need to be married to be happy for the rest of your life?" JLo, "Oh God, you know it's kind of like the fairy tale romance getting married and having that, of course! The most important thing…is that you realize you can be just as happy on your own and you have to actually be that before you can be in a great relationship."

JLo is also well-known for getting along with her ex's, "The truth is those people that have been in my life are people that I cared about and cared about me… Sometimes things don't work out. It's a sad thing but you know what, you keep going and life is to be lived." more on this story

Brantley Gilbert Describes Proposal To Jana Kramer

(Radio.com) When Brantley Gilbert proposed earlier this month to his girlfriend of one year, fellow country artist Jana Kramer, he didn't do it just anywhere. He chose Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium (home to the Grand Ole Opry for decades) as the setting.

Why the Ryman? As he told Heather Froglear and Kelli Green of Riverside, Calif. station KFRG during a video interview this week, the place has a special meaning for a few different reasons.

"We always said if it weren't for country music we never would have met," says Brantley.

"We met at the CMT Awards June 6 [in 2011], and I was actually going to propose to her on June 6. I told my mom about it and she let me in in a little information. She and my dad are divorced, and they had gotten married on June 6. And it's also doomsday. So I decided not to do it [on that day]."

"As you can see," he continues, "we kinda moved up the proposal. I couldn't wait." more.

OneRepublic Release If I Lose Myself Video

(Radio.com) OneRepublic let loose in their new video "If I Lose Myself." Doing what they do best, the band can be found performing in front of a packed crowd.

Their audience doesn't show up to their concert in the most conventional fashion, though. In fact, it's through a scavenger hunt.

Directed by Michael Muller, the video follows kids in downtown Los Angeles trying to solve the mysterious clues they find. Once they do, they open up a garage door to find the band playing. more on this story

Not The Fun Of It All For Michael Bolton

(Radio.com) Michael Bolton always knew he would write a book about his life, he just wasn't sure if anyone would care.

But after a little SNL clip of Bolton dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow went viral, it seemed everyone was interested in getting to know the singer a little better.

Luckily, as Bolton told Radio.com, he's had a successful career that has lent itself to many stories.

"It's been a long climb up a mountain or a long walk out into the desert, whatever you like," he joked.

Ever since Bolton started traveling with his computer, he's been sure to jot down everything from lyric notes to interesting observations, but admits writing some of the more personal passages from his new memoir, The Soul Of It All, like his parent's divorce and his breakup with longtime love Nicollette Sheridan, was difficult. But as Bolton notes that the book's title leads a reader to believe his life was not all fun and games.

"The title is not The Fun Of It All," Bolton joked. "So I realized while working at [the book] the first month or so, that the only way to speak was from the place of my original experience and what it was really like to go there." more on this story

(Radio.com) Despite his soaring popularity with permit licensed teens and obsessive paparazzi, Justin Bieber still hasn't had a number one single in the U.S. Despite this fact, Barry Manilow, who's created several chart topping singles, feels he and Bieber are cut from the same cloth.

"I was the Justin Bieber of the '70s," Manilow said during opening night of his extensive Broadway residency. "Really. Just ask your mother."

Last night, Manilow was finally able to take the stage after canceling several performances last week due to bouts with the flu and bronchitis.

"I have hacked up enough phlegm to float Fire Island," laughed the Brooklyn born singer as boxes of tissues lined the stage in case of emergency. more on this story

Groban's new album, All That Echoes, is set to be released on February 5th. On the 7th he will be taking part in a CD signing at the Barnes & Noble at 555 Fifth Avenue in New York City at 12:30 p.m.

Gary Allan's new album, Set You Free, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and Billboard Top 200 Chart.

The album sold 106,109 copies last week, giving Allen his very first Billboard 200 No. 1 debut and his 3rd top debut on the country chart.

Activision Release Call of Duty: Black Ops II Revolution

Activision have released Call of Duty: Black Ops II Revolution, the first of four Downloadable Content (DLC) Map Packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops II exclusively for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live. We were sent these details:

Marina And The Diamonds Add More Lonely Hearts Club Tour Dates

Marina And The Diamonds have announced the latest North American dates for the ongoing "Lonely Hearts Club" headline tour.

OK Go and He Say/She Say Supergroup Pyyramids Releasing Debut

Pyyramids, featuring Tim Nordwind of OK Go and Drea Smith of He Say/She Say, are releasing their debut album.

The group's full-length debut, Brightest Darkest Day, is set to be released on April 9th and they are currently giving fans a preview by streaming three songs here.

Pyyramids will also be previewing the material at SXSW and launching a East Coast and UK tour, with dates to be announced soon.

Rihanna Opens Up About Her Relationship With Chris Brown

(Radio.com) Rihanna graces the new issue of Rolling Stone and opens up about her relationship with Chris Brown.

"We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don't want to lose that," she tells the magazine.

The issue hits stands this Friday, February 1, and follows Rihanna around Los Angeles and her new Pacific Palisades mansion. The cover girl's headline reads Crazy In Love and the article promises much more.
