American Idol Deny Replacing Mariah Carey With Jennifer Lopez
(Extra) Fox have denied reports that American Idol are planning a mid-season replacement of judge Mariah Carey with former judge Jennifer Lopez due to low ratings this season.

A Fox spokesperson told TMZ, "This is just another ridiculous Idol judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale."

Prior to the denial, "Extra's" Terri Seymour caught up with "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon and broke the news to him about the rumors abpit his wife Mariah Carey.

Nick commented saying, "I haven't heard that, but I think my wife is so focused on the future, what she is doing with her new album.

"She has such a good time with this show, some people do it because that's all they have, she did it cause she thought it would be fun, if she continues to do it I think to do it I think she's gonna be great and if not who knows." more on this story

Arrest Warrant Issued For Michael Jackson's Doctor
A federal arrest warrant has been issued for Michael Jackson's doctor, Arnie Klein, who is now wanted by the U.S. Marshals for his failure to appear in court.

TMZ report that they have obtained documents that state Klein reportedly failed to appear in court for his bankruptcy case and yesterday the bankruptcy judge directed the Marshals to arrest Arnie and bring him into court.

The report also says that this is not the first time the judge issued a warrant. Back in February, after Klein refused to turn over his Ferrari and more than 100 pieces of wildly expensive pieces of art, the judge ordered the Marshals to arrest the doc and hold him until he turned over the goods. Read the report for more details.

Justin Bieber Forced To Give Up Pet Monkey
(Radio.com) Justin Bieber plans to give up his pet monkey OG Mally. After losing his capuchin monkey at the Munich airport earlier this month for being unable to produce the proper documentation to bring the pet into the country, Bieber was forced to give up Mally to a German animal shelter while he continued on his tour.

Now, the singer is reportedly giving up the monkey, which he received as a gift from producer Jamal Rashid, for good. According to E! News, Bieber's management contacted the shelter via email, revealing that they will not be coming back to get Mally. The representative of the shelter noted that they would still need an official document from Bieber's camp explaining his decision.

The shelter says it hopes to find Mally a good home and not a zoo that will try to capitalize on the primate's fame. The final decision though will be left up to the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation. more on this story

New Music May Keep Lauryn Hill Out Of Prison
Lauryn Hill may have found a way to make the money she needs to avoid going to prison for tax evasion. There is a new report that she has signed a new deal with Sony Music.

During a court hearing on Monday, Hill was given two weeks to pay $504,000 in back taxes. The singer entered a guilty plea last year to failing to pay federal taxes on $1.8 million that she earned between 2005 and 2007.

NJ.com reports that during Monday's court hearing Assistant U.S. Attorney Sandra Moser revealed that singer had signed a new record deal with Sony where she would earn $1 million for recording five new songs. She reportedly would make more for an entire new album.

That money would allow her to pay the back taxes by the deadline but she reportedly still has to finish writing and then record the new songs.

Michael Buble Headed For Another No. 1 Album
It appears that Michael Buble's new album "To Be Loved," is poised to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, which would give the crooner his fourth No. 1 album on the chart.

Billboard reports that industry forecasters say that the album is on track to sell around 165,000-185,000 copies by the end of the tracking week this Sunday, April 28.

Neil Diamond Writing New Song Inspired By Boston Marathon Attack
(Gibson) Neil Diamond says last week's Boston Marathon bombing has inspired him to pen a new song about the recent disaster and heartbreak.

"I'm writing now and obviously affected by this situation in Boston, so I'm writing about it just to express myself," Diamond told Rolling Stone.

Diamond says the new tune will be broader than exclusively dealing with the subject of last week's bombing. "It's like an infestation, and I'm writing about the general situation, not just about this bombing in Boston, but what we're going through with all of these tragedies — shootings and so on and so forth," Diamond told Rolling Stone.

While the song has yet to announce an official release date, it sounds like it won't be long until it's unleashed. "With a little bit of help from the man upstairs, I'll have it finished by the weekend," he said towards the end of last week. more on this story

Star Trek's Mr Sulu Endorses Sara Bareilles' Brave New Song
(Radio.com) Have you heard Sara Bareilles latest single "Brave"? Well, George Takei (Mr. Sulu on Star Trek) has and he's a big fan of the song's message.

The social media star and actor took to his Facebook on Tuesday (April 23) to let his many, many fans know that they should listen to Sara B's new song off her upcoming album, The Blessed Unrest (out July 16).

"Need a pick me up?" he wrote. "Here is a terrific new song with a great message…It's by songwriters Sara Bareilles and Jack Antonoff, and it's called 'Brave.'"

Takei continued: "Sara explained in an interview that the lyrics were inspired by the story of a friend struggling to come out. They lyrics are also very apt for girls and young women trying to find their voice in a world that so often pressures them to stay silent. Enjoy." more on this story

Alicia Keys Duets With Maxwell In New Video
(Radio.com) Like a moth to a flame, Alicia Keys can't seem to stay away from Maxwell in the new video for their sultry duet, "The Fire We Made."

The song, off Keys' 2012 album Girl On Fire, is a classic slow jam with the two getting all hot and bothered over their inevitable love affair.

Set in New Orleans during the late '50s, the clip plays out like something from a Tennessee Williams play. Keys even sets up the romance by saying, "The heat, the French Quarter and him/We fell in love."

The two "meet-cute" at her family's hotel in the heart of the French Quarter, and soon she's lounging around in her gauzy white dress with her old fan and ice cubes trying not to overheat. It certainly isn't easy, especially when Maxwell breaks out the swoon-worthy falsetto to say, "You want to be the one/You can't stay away."

Janelle Monae Gets Funky With Erykah Badu
(Radio.com) Janelle Monae is the "Q.U.E.E.N." of funk on her fresh track featuring Erykah Badu. She posted the song, which serves as the lead single from her upcoming album The Electric Lady, on her website Monday, both posing plenty of questions in the lyrics and leaving fans with questions of their own.

Monαe's punchy chorus asks, "Am I a freak for dancing round?/Am I a freak for getting down?", working as an anthem of self-acceptance and girl power.

Some outlets have speculated that "Q.U.E.E.N."s message of individuality is also a reference to Monαe's ambiguous sexuality. "Say will your God accept me in my black and white?/Will he approve the way I'm made/Or should I reprogram the programming?"

The songstress did not address the rumors, but posted on Twitter on Tuesday (April 23) that the song was inspired by "private discussions" between herself and Badu. Read more and listen to the track.
