Paramore have scored their very first No. 1 album after their new self-titled album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart this week.The album beat out the competition to the top of the charts after selling 106,422 copies its first week of release according to numbers from SoundScan. The band not only topped the charts here at home in American but also claimed the No. 1 spot in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. The band will be promoting the new album with a world tour that will kick off next week in Houston, Tx and will take the band across North America for a series of sold out shows in late April and May. In June the band will head across the pond to launch a summer tour of Europe. That trek will begin on June 5th with an appearance at the Impact Festival in Warsaw. Paramore will play a number of major music festivals in Europe as well as some stand alone dates before they launch a Latin America tour in July. more on this story

Fall Out Boy are making a triumphant return with their new album but they may be kept from scoring their second No. 1 album by Kid Cudi.Kid Cudi's new album "Indicud" is reportedly neck-in-neck in sales so far this week with Fall Out Boy's "Save Rock and Roll" and it is a toss up which of the two will top the Billboard 200 chart next week. Billboard reports that industry sources are suggesting that both albums are on course to sell around 145,000 by the end of the tracking week this Sunday, April 21st. Boyband star Nathan Sykes has been forced to take an "unforeseen hiatus" from The Wanted so that he can undergo throat surgery in Los Angeles. The group broke the news with the following Facebook post, "Our lil Nath has to go in for an op on his throat on his birthday [April 18] to make him better so join us in wishing him well. We love ya! #GetWellNath." They also told fans, "We will be passing on all your words of support and love, it means the world to him and you definitely help us all through this." The group's E! reality series, The Wanted Life, is still set to debut on June 2nd, according to FMQB.

Prince will not only be one of the big name performers at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards, he will be receiving the Icon Award.Prince will join a big lineup of performers at the event that will include Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Miguel and Justin Bieber. Billboard also announced that comedian Tracy Morgan will be hosting the event which will taking place on May 19th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. "I'm honored to be a part of one of music's biggest nights," Morgan said in a statement about hosting the event. "When you look at the artists who have come up through Billboard over the years, it's incredible. And how can you say no when Prince is going to be there?"

(Extra) "Extra's" Mario Lopez caught up with La Toya Jackson to chat about her niece Paris Jackson reuniting with birth mother Debbie Rowe, nephew Prince Michael's new girlfriend, and the singer's new reality show. When Mario asked why Paris, 14, wanted to reconnect with Rowe, La Toya explained, I think every child should know who their mother is. If that is what she wants, why not?" She added that the family is "absolutely okay" with the two spending time together. Paris' father, Michael Jackson, and birth mom Debbie divorced in 1999. At the time, Rowe gave her ex full custody of Paris and Michael. When it comes to Prince Michael's dating life, La Toya wouldn't confirm rumors that he's seeing a Kuwati princess. She did divulge, however, that the 15-year-old "is dating someone" and the girl "does know that family." La Toya, who was recently fired on "Celebrity Apprentice," is returning to reality TV with "Life with La Toya" on OWN. Grammy winners Mumford and Sons will be headlining a big one night music event at London's newly renovated Olympic Park on July 6. The group will be supported by Vampire Weekend, Ben Howard, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Haim and newcomers Bear's Den. "We wanted to do something special, more than just another arena date," Ben Lovett told NME. "So when the opportunity to do this came about, and the opportunity to pick a line-up of bands we feel really strongly about, we were naturally pretty excited." That's the good news, the band news is that the band is not likely to debut any new material at the concert, even though they have "loosely started" writing new music for the follow-up to their hit Babel. "We're always writing, that never stops, so there's some ideas in place but I doubt we'll rush anything for these shows," Lovett said. "Never say never, but it's not something we've discussed. Pink has scored her fourth No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after her single "Just Give Me a Reason," featuring fun.'s Nate Ruess claimed the top spot. Pink's single also returned to No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs for a third week on top with 283,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Justin Timberlake and Demi Lovato have both returned to the top 10 of the Hot 100 with their latest singles. Timberlake's "Mirrors" climbed to No. 7 and Lovato's "Heart Attack" landed at No. 10. Cody Simpson will be hitting the road at the end of next month to launch a 36-city North American headline tour with support from Ryan Beatty and Before You Exit.The tour is set to kick off at the Moran Theatre in Jacksonville, Fl on May 30th and will conclude on July 27th at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO. Simpson will be touring in support of his new single "Pretty Brown Eyes," which will be released as a digital single next Tuesday, April 23rd. The pop star also plans to release his not-yet-titled sophomore album sometime this summer. Lonestar have set a June 4th release date for "Life As We Know It," their first studio album release since they reunited with their original frontman Richie McDonald.The band have release the first single from the album, "Maybe Someday." The video for the clip was filmed in Nashville and reunites the group with Mad Men star Sunny Mabrey who starred in their "Amazed" video. You can see the new video here. McDonald recently told Digitaljournal.com what made this new effort different from their past albums, "I think what's different about this one is that we got to produce it, so we had a little more creative control. We actually wrote nine of the twelve songs, so we really feel--for the first time in our careers--that this is really us more than ever." He also shared his excitement about reuniting with the group, "It's been awesome. When we got back together, we all said that were gonna enjoy this time and I think in years past we kind of took it for granted and didn't really enjoy the moment. For us, we feel like there's no pressure. We just want to enjoy making music, enjoy being together, enjoy playing, performing live and entertaining our fans
and that's really what it's all about for us." The group will be hitting the road later this month for tour dates that will keep them on the road all summer. Straight No Chaser will be returning to the road this fall to launch their "Under The Influence North American Tour," in support of their forthcoming covers album.The new album, "Under the Influence," will be released on May 7th and features the group's renditions of songs from artists that influenced them including Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Rob Thomas, Seal, and Jason Mraz The North American tour is set to kick off on October 16th in Columbia, MO, and they will finish up on December 22nd in Indianapolis, IN.
