Psy's Raunchy New Single Leaks
(Radio.com) The wait for Psy's new single is over. "Gentleman" leaked yesterday, a day before its scheduled release, and it's not as innocent as some may think.

The 35-year-old K-pop star's "Gangnam Style" follow-up is exactly what you'd expect – and maybe a bit more, in terms of the raunch factor. "Gentleman" features familiar club beats heard throughout his breakthrough single "Gangnam Style." But what is he really saying?

In between raps in Korean, he sings, "Damn girl, you're so freakin' sexy" before he asserts, "I'm a mother father gentleman."

Things get a bit more explicit, though. He sings: "Gonna make you sweat/Gonna make you wet/You know who I am? Wet PSY!"

Meanwhile, he continues to rap in Korean. Read the explicit translation here.

Over Half of Justin Bieber's Twitter Followers Are Fake?
Over half of Justin Bieber's 37 million Twitter followers are not real fans but instead come from spam accounts on the social media site, according to Socialbakers.

That site claims that only 17.8 million of Bieber's record breaking 37.3 million followers are linked to real accounts, according to the BBC.

They report that Socialbakers search for fake accounts by looking at the number of followers and seeing if there were genuine tweets posted on the account, rather than spam. They reportedly also considers accounts fake if they continuously tweet phrases like "diet", "make money" and "work from home".

Bieber took the crown as the person with the most Twitter followers from Lady Gaga in January but Socialbakers reports that Gaga's "real" followers number 19 million which places her ahead of Bieber by their count. Look up your favorite celeb here.

Rick Ross Given The Boot Over Rape Lyrics Controversy
(Radio.com) After public outcry over Rick Ross' lyrics that critics say glorify rape, Reebok has dropped Ross as a spokesperson. The news comes a week after activist group UltraViolet held a protest outside Reebok's flagship store in New York City.

"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so," Reebok said in a statement, according to Billboard. "While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone's best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross."

The fall-out began last when Rocko dropped his single "U.O.E.N.O." with a verse from Ross, who raps about slipping a girl a "Molly" (MDMA) tab without her knowledge and later having sex with her.

"I'll die over these Reeboks (She ain't even know it)/ Put molly all in her champagne (She ain't even know it)," Ross raps. "I took her home and I enjoyed that (She ain't even know it)…"

While Ross tried to explain that he didn't mention the word 'rape' shortly after online petitions surfaced, the controversy went viral. more on this story

Pep Shoot Down Quincy Jones Rumors
The group Pep has issued a statement that dismisses rumors that music producer Quincy Jones has signed on to produce their next album.

The band had this to say: "We apologize to our fans who may have been misled by these purported rumors. We are not planning on working with music producer Quincy Jones on our upcoming record.

"We feel that this incident has distracted from the momentum we have been trying to build and we'd like put this behind us. We respectfully apologize to Mr. Jones and his management for any bad feeling this may have resulted in. However, we are open to working with Mr. Jones in the future."

The major problem with the rumor of a new album is that the group are right now focusing on promoting the June 1st release of their new EP, "My Baby and Me."

k-os To Celebrate Album Release With Jimmy Fallon
k-os will celebrate the physical release of the new double album "BLack On Blonde" with a guest appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on April 23rd, the same date the album is released.

BLack On BLonde is split into two parts with one half focusing on rock songs and the other focused on "old-school" hip-hop tracks.

k-os recruited an all-star roster of special guests for the album that includes Black Thought (The Roots), Travie McCoy (Gym Class Heroes), Emily Haines (Metric), Corey Hart, Sebastien Grainger (Death From Above 1979), Sam Roberts and more.

"My friends say this is the record I've been waiting my whole life to make, there's a confidence now," says k-os. "People don't generally want to take things too far. And I felt trapped by my birth into the music industry as a hippy or folk hip-hop singer; I'm over that feeling. It was time to delve deep and write an album (or two) that truly reflects all facets of myself. This album is a celebration of that." Check out a preview of the album here.

Phoenix Played Their Best and Worst Shows At Coachella
(Radio.com) For Phoenix, preparing for Coachella is a bit like training for the Olympics. Besides the fact that the band seems to be on the same four-year schedule as the Games — they first played the festival in 2006 behind It's Never Been Like That and again in 2010 — guitarist/keyboardist Laurent Brancowitz explained that the band has been training "like athletes" to improve their stamina.

"It's a big responsibility," Brancowitz said in our latest Radio.com Essentials profile. "We know there's going to be a lot of people that are going to spend one hour each watching us. If it's a really bad moment, it's going to be like 60,000 hours wasted."

As headliners, the band certainly doesn't want to disappoint, but due to their past experiences at the fest they're having concerns. "We've played there twice," guitarist Christian Mazzalai said. "And we did maybe our worst show and our best show there."

"This time," Brancowitz interjected with a smile, "we aim for an average show." But as Daniel Glass, the President of the band's record label Glassnote Records, explained, these four guys — Brancowitz, Mazzalai, bassist Deck d'Arcy and singer Thomas Mars — don't do anything half-heartedly. For the last two months, Phoenix have been in seclusion getting ready for the live show, which will feature songs from their new album, Bankrupt!, out April 23. They've even hired a new lighting designer to echo the magnitude of the Coachella performance.

"It's a badge of honor," Glass said of headlining. "There are far and few between who really get there and stay there and earn it the right way." More including a video interview.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O Suits Up
(Radio.com) All the eye-catching and elaborate costumes you've seen Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs wear onstage since the beginning of the band were created by her friend and design compatriot Christian Joy.

In this edition of Style Files, the Brooklyn-based costume designer told us that for the band's latest album, Mosquito, she and Karen collaborated on a new look they've never explored before: suits.

A few have been on display already, but you'll see even more as she takes the stage to play Coachella, Great Googamooga, Firefly Music Festival, and T in the Park.

Watch as Joy explains how she dresses Karen O for the stage, the politics of androgynous costuming and how you should dress for this summer music festival season here.

Leona Lewis Launches Make-Up Collection
(Radio.com) Leona Lewis is the latest singer to put her own personal touch on a make-up collection, but this time, it's for a good cause. The singer recently joined forces with The Body Shop and NGO Cruelty Free International's campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics.

"For me, this is all about bringing awareness to the products that we use and making sure we're using things that are not tested on animals," Lewis said on her website. "I get so upset when I see videos and images of animal testing. It infuriates me and makes me so so sad."

The limited edition collection includes four shades of lip gloss in bronze, coral, petal and fuchsia, two shimmer palettes, blusher blush and perfume. more on this story

Incompetence Fueled Harry Connick, Jr's Upcoming Album
(Radio.com) Harry Connick, Jr's upcoming album, Every Man Should Know, was fueled by a moment of incompetence. "I was building a workbench with a carpenter friend and my lack of any knowledge about carpentry left me feeling so inadequate," Connick said in a statement.

"It led me to think about other things that every man should know, like how to change a tire. Then I began thinking about what everybody should know how to do, and that's to love."

His new album, due out June 11, comes straight from the heart and Connick taking events directly from his own life. Something he hasn't always felt comfortable doing.

"I used to be more comfortable writing in a fantasy-style concept, using ideas that intrigued me but didn't necessarily come from personal experience," he said. "It's one thing to assume the role of a storyteller – it's quite another when the story is your own. I felt ready to explore some of my personal experiences in some of the songs this time around." more on this story

Ben Howard Coachella Performance Raises His Profile in America
(Radio.com) Ben Howard may not be a household name just yet, but a big tour with Mumford & Sons, two BRIT Awards for Best Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and a slot at this year's Coachella are sure to elevate his standing.

While the British singer-songwriter has been compared to Jack Johnson and Nick Drake, his music embodies a distinct darkness that sets him apart.

When Radio.com sat down with Howard, he told us the story behind "Oats In the Water," the haunting track off his 2012 EP The Burgh Island.

Gearing up for a set at Coachella this month, Howard continues to bring his music to the masses. Does he have what it takes to be recognized at, let's say, the GRAMMYs next year? Some industry experts seem to think so. Find out why Howard has been named New Music To Know. Watch the video interview here.

Beyonce Going Punk?
(Radio.com) Beyonce has officially been named an honorary chairperson at the 2013 Costume Institute Gala. The annual event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, is often called fashion's Oscars with the rich and famous pulling out all the stops in honor of style.

While still unconfirmed, it's likely Mrs. Carter will be joining co-chairs actress Rooney Mara, Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci, co-founder of online retailer Moda Operandi Lauren Santo Domingo and Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who was recently named the artistic director of Condι Nast earlier this year, on the Gala's receiving line.

As honorary chair, Beyoncι will take part in announcing this year's Met Costume Institute exhibition on May 6, titled "Punk: Chaos to Couture," which will take a look at punk's impact on high fashion.

This means you'll see a photo of Sex Pistols' deceased bassist Sid Vicious next to an editorial spread from designer Karl Lagerfeld. more on this story

A Look At Wu-Tang Clan Lore
(Radio.com) "When I first saw the Wu-Tang Clan, I just saw stars," Steve Rifkind recently told Radio.com. Rifkind had the same response to Wu as most fans but as the founder of Loud Records, he was able to peer into the future from his office desk. "I never felt anything like the energy in that room."

It was 20 years ago when Rifkind was introduced to the Wu-Tang Clan. They crowded into his small office in New York City and took turns spitting thorny raps, transforming the four walls into a show of lyrical fireworks. Rifkind would go on to play a big role in launching the crew's career.

"I will never forget that day," Rifkind said of the moment that has become Wu-legend. "There were nine guys in a group that could spit their asses off. When I saw them I thought they could be as big as the Rolling Stones. I was proven correct, because 20 years later, they are performing at Coachella."

Ahead of the crew's Coachella performance this weekend, we delved into Wu lore for this episode of Radio.com Essentials, tapping various members and experts to sound off. Watch it here.
