(TMZ) Johnny Lewis -- who had big roles on "Sons of Anarchy," and "The O.C." and once dated Katy Perry -- was found dead Wednesday in unusual circumstances. TMZ had this:Lewis -- the "Sons of Anarchy" actor suspected of murdering his landlady Wednesday before falling off a roof to his death -- was convicted of several violent crimes in 2012. According to official records, Lewis committed felony assault with a deadly weapon on January 3rd. The records don't specify the details of the crime, but they do show he was subsequently ordered to complete a rehab program for "treatment of mental health and/or drugs and alcohol." The records also indicate Lewis was arrested on February 10th. Law enforcement sources tell us, he sucker-punched a man on his way out of a yogurt shop for no apparent reason. Eight days afterwards, on February 18th, Lewis was arrested again for burglary. According to law enforcement sources, he had tried to break into a woman's house through a window, claiming he was looking for a friend ... but when the woman called cops, he took off. Lewis was convicted of felony assault following his January arrest, and sentenced to a year in county jail. Lewis was also convicted of battery and burglary following his February arrests, and sentenced to 303 days in jail for those two crimes. It's unclear exactly how many days he served and whether he spent the majority of his time in jail or in rehab. Lewis was ultimately released from jail SIX DAYS AGO on September 21st. more on this story

Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records report that they have filed a lawsuit against the FBI for classifying their fans, known as Jullalos, as a gang. The band had this to say on their website: Everyone remembers back in August at The 2012 Gathering of the Juggalos when Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope announced to the 'Los and 'Lettes that they would be suing the FBI because Juggalos were unjustly called a gang in its 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment. They said they would be fightin' for the family's rights no matter how much time or money it took! And now today, September 25th, 2012, ICP and Psychopathic have made those promises a reality by officially filing their lawsuit against the FBI! Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records' legal counsel, Hertz Schram PC, has released the following statement: "Hertz Schram PC, by Howard Hertz and Elizabeth Thomson, on behalf of Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records, has filed suit against the FBI in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, alleging the FBI's violation of the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") for its failure to produce any documentary evidence in support of the FBI's classification of the groups' fan base, the Juggalos, as a gang in the 2011 National Gang Threat Assessment: Emerging Trends." (TMZ) Lance Easley -- the NFL replacement ref who made the TD call in Monday night's Packers vs. Seahawks game tells TMZ ... he stands by his decision, adamantly saying, "It was the correct call."Easley told us he can't believe he's being vilified ... "I didn't do anything wrong." He says strongly ... the Packers player who allegedly intercepted the ball never had singular possession because, "You have to not only have the ball but have either 2 feet or a body part on the ground, and that never happened." Easley says this was clearly a case of simultaneous possession -- meaning the catch goes to the offensive player -- adding, "Put any other official who knows the rules and they would make the same call." Easley told us, no one has ever seen a play like this before, so there's no point of reference to judge the call. He says, "I don't appreciate the negative stuff." Easley says he feels like he's become a sacrificial lamb, who had to "fall on the sword." Easley -- who refs at El Camino and Pierce Junior Colleges as well as Occidental, all in Southern California -- says the replacement refs did what they were expected to do. "We did a damn good job ... for the most part." more on this story

(TMZ) John Travolta just won a big legal victory against the author of a book who claims the actor frequented gay bathhouses ... TMZ has learned. You'll recall, Travolta was sued for libel by Robert Randolph -- the author of "You'll Never Spa in This Town Again" -- who claimed Travolta and his lawyer conspired to discredit him and his book by spreading lies about his mental health. Randolph's beef stems from a letter fired off and allegedly leaked by Travolta's lawyer Marty Singer, which stated Randolph suffers from mental problems -- and claimed his book was packed with lies. The judge dismissed the case today -- agreeing with Travolta and Singer's lawyer Lynda Goldman -- ruling the letter was a legitimate part of the legal dispute over the book, and therefore protected by the First Amendment. Translation -- Travolta and Singer can't be sued over what was written. more on this story
