(City News Service) Brandy's mother was removed today as a defendant in a $6 million lawsuit brought against her daughter by Marc Mysterio, who alleges the R&B vocalist reneged on a promise to write and sing 32 bars of music. The judge declined, however, to dismiss allegations against Brandy's agent, Ryan Ramsey. more

(Billboard) According to the New York State Department of Corrections website, rapper Prodigy was released from prison yesterday morning. more

Lenka Previewing New Album With US Dates
(Big Hassle) Lenka will be previewing songs from her forthcoming album, Two, in four appearances at SXSW and a short U.S tour leading up to the album's release.

The West Coast run - which also features Greg Laswell - launches April 1st at San Francisco's Rickshaw Stop and will include a show at Los Angeles' legendary Troubadour on April 13th.

The Chemical Brothers Score Hanna
(PR) The Chemical Brothers have teamed up with film director Joe Wright to score Wright's adventure thriller Hanna, which stars Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, and Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett.

The soundtrack will be released exclusively through iTunes on March 15th, in advance of the film's April 8th nationwide theatrical release through Focus Features.

From the haunting "Hanna's Theme," written for the 16-year-old title character, to the carnival-esque track "The Devil Is In the Details" and the tension-filled "Container Park," The Chemical Brothers deliver 20 tracks that mirror the ever-changing moods and environments that Hanna (played by Ronan) experiences in her dangerous journey as she is pursued across Europe.

Eastern Conference Champions Announce Album and Live Dates
(PR) Eastern Conference Champions are returning with their first album of new material in four years.

That new album, Speak-ahh will be released on April 26th on RockHampton Records.

Right around the release, the band will begin a west coast tour on April 20th starting in Santa Barbara, CA. The band will also head to SXSW this year for five performances during SXSW.

Cameron Carpenter Appearing With the YouTube Symphony Orchestra
(PR) Cameron Carpenter will make a series of special appearances with the YouTube Symphony Orchestra in Sydney, Australia during their 2011 concert season, which runs March 14-20, 2011.

The event spans 5 days and features live concerts held at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Conservatorium and other venues. Cameron is a featured soloist and collaborator.

On March 16, Cameron joins Swedish trumpeter Hεkan Hardenberger and members of the Berliner Philharmoniker and Vienna Philharmonic for a Brass Ensemble concert, performing Eugene Gigout's Grand Choeur Dialogue. He will perform at the Jam Session, a free-form improvisation evening, at The Basement, Sydney, on March 19, where he will play a digital organ by Roland installed especially for his appearance. The Grand Finale concert on March 20 is the debut of the 2011 YouTube Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas. The concert features Cameron performing Bach's Toccata in F on the Sydney Opera House organ.
