Lady Gaga Confirmed For MTV Global Japan Relief Event
MTV Japan announced that Lady Gaga will perform live at the MTV Video Music Aid Japan on Saturday, June 25.

Lady Gaga is the first performer to be announced for the MTV Video Music Aid Japan, the tenth annual MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ) which is being staged as a live international music television event to benefit the Japanese Red Cross.

Hosted by Japanese pop star AKB48 and featuring live performances from international, regional and Japanese artists, the staging of MTV Video Music Aid Japan will be the culmination of MTV Japan's Music Of Hope campaign, the channel's multiplatform response to the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. more on this story

James Blunt Plans Some Kind of Trouble for America
James Blunt will kick off the North American leg of his worldwide "Some Kind of Trouble Tour," next week with support coming from Christina Perri.

The trek – which celebrates the recent release of his 3rd album, "Some Kind Of Trouble" – begins April 20th at Boston's House of Blues and then continues through early May.

Blunt has also slated a number of high profile TV appearances surrounding the tour. He will kick off the schedule with a Friday, April 22nd visit to the nationally syndicated LIVE! With Regis and Kelly, followed on Monday, May 2nd, by a performance on TBS' Conan. James will also be returning to perform on ABC's blockbuster Dancing With The Stars on May 3rd. more on this story

American Idol Losers Reject Fellow Idol Loser
(TMZ) Getting rejected from "American Idol" is bad enough -- but to add insult to injury, TMZ has learned, one ex-contestant also got shut down by OTHER "Idol" rejects ... after asking to join their reunion concert.

Sources connected with tonight's Minneapolis reunion show tell TMZ, Dr. Chris Kammer -- a giant toothbrush-carrying dentist who was cast off early in the season -- contacted the show organizer and fellow reject Caleb Hawley ... to see if they needed an MC.

Caleb wasn't into the idea -- and responded to Dr. Chris via email, writing, "Though I really appreciate your offer to MC, I think we'll hold this one down on our own." more on this story

(TMZ) After completing a 30-day stint in a treatment facility -- "American Pie" star Seann William Scott was back out in public Tuesday night ... taking in a Knicks basketball game in NYC.

Seann had voluntarily sought treatment for "health and personal issues" back in March -- and today a source connected with the actor tells us, "He completed the 30 days successfully ... he's doing great."

American Idol Kris Allen Announces Concert Series for Music Education
Berklee City Music have announced that American Idol winner Kris Allen will perform with the Berklee City Music All-Star Band May 2-4 in New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

The concert series, which is open to elementary and high school students, works to raise awareness of the importance and need for music education, particularly in urban areas where schools are reducing or eliminating music programs.

"Kris, Andy Davis and I, our host partners and the other 30+ City Music Network sites across the country are on a mission to not only highlight the importance and life-changing impact that a music education can have on today's urban youth, but also to assure they get access to that education," said J. 32nd Annual Detroit Jazz Festival Lineup Announced
The lineup for the 32nd annual Detroit Jazz Festival has been announced. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 5, in downtown Detroit.

Subtitled "We Bring You the World," the Detroit Jazz Festival will celebrate jazz's influence on the world and the world's influence on jazz.

"Jazz is America's most significant artistic export to the world, and it's fun and interesting to hear the spin that other cultures take on it," said Terri Pontremoli, executive and artistic director, Detroit Jazz Festival. "While it can be argued that the festival literally brings the world to Detroit year after year, there is a definite international flair in 2011." Slated are: Amina Figarova from the Netherlands, Luciana Souza, Ivan Lins and Vinicius Cantuaria from Brazil, Toots Thielemans from Belgium, Angelique Kidjo from Benin, Anat Cohen from Israel, Paquito D'Rivera from Cuba, Vertical Engine from Japan and first-generation Indian Americans Vijay Iyer and Sachal Vasandani. French Horn Rebellion Are Coming
