The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles, CA and will air live Sunday, August 28th from Nokia Theatre L.A. at 9PM (ET/PT). "We are proud to host the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, the creative capital of the world. And we look forward to showcasing our city's exciting new downtown entertainment attractions," said Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
