Lil X Now Director X
(Submitted News) "Lil X" the award winning music video director, whose eye for creative imagery put him at the top of his game, is making a change. He will be known as "Director X".

This is not a flippant change, but a well thought out one, as is typical of the director. Trusted and respected in the music video world, "Director X" has been recognized by MTV, BET, Much Music and the NAACP for his direction of artists such as Usher, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Nelly Futado, NeYo, P. Diddy, Rihanna, and Kanye West.

The move allows "Director X" to stay firmly entrenched in the Hip Hop world, while bringing his visionary energy to other projects, such as commercials for McDonalds, Chrysler, Merceds Benz, Converse, Yeo Valley, Sony, Wheatins, Burger King and Smirnoff. Moving on is good... Moving beyond is better. When the credits roll, look for.... "Director X". -

Friction From Boog Brown & Apollo Brown
(Audible Treats) The second single from Boog Brown & Apollo Brown's Brown Study album, "Friction", is an unadulterated, rough, and hard-hitting track.

Apollo Brown takes no prisoners on this "heat rock," as Boog Brown best illustrates it. "Friction" opens with intensity and aggressiveness that leads into a firestorm of lyrics from Boog Brown.

With a no nonsense line of attack, Boog shows off why she is quickly establishing herself as a lyrical heavy weight and holds her own along side longtime friends and lyrical specialists Invincible and Miz Korona, showing off wit and dexterity with lyrics like, "The goddess is all this and then some/ Thumbin' my nose at hoes and all critics - you can all get it/ I'm authentic, arsenic wit a flow all liquid/ No argument/ Heavy weight lyrics like I move large shipments/ Bo-guard the diction/ Good God it's sickening." - more on this story

Trek Life Spits Out A Freestyle
(Audible Treats) The success of Trek Life's Oddissee-produced sophomore LP, Everything Changed Nothing, has shot him into the hip-hop stratosphere and music lovers worldwide are starting to take notice. Among these people are the fine folks at DJBooth.net, who have chosen the West Covina emcee to spit over the 200th addition of their Exclusive Freestyle Sessions.

"What it is good people?" Trek rhymes, "You feel you could equal my abilities but n***a please I'm hood lethal with a suburb twist in the mix. Call it duality, the yin and the yang in my slang and my mentality."

Flowing over another Oddisee banger with cuts from DJ Buddy, Trek Life lets loose on the track, putting his lyrical skills on full display. "Turn your box up and your hype down well as them outfits. I could rip in flip flops, homie, over the tip top only if you already unprepared I swear do not declare rap warfare. Get the f**k outta here, man."

Fans should also keep an eye out for videos from Everything Changed Nothing, coming soon.

Football Wives Kick Off in October on Vh1
Vh1 have announced the premiere of Football Wives. Here is the 411: Tighten your helmets and put on those extra pads because football season is about to get intense as the wives and girlfriends behind some of the sport's most elite players take the field on VH1 Sunday, October 24 at 10:30 PM ET/PT.

A flashy team of Football Wives will give viewers a never-before-seen look into the glamorous, and dramatic, life of a professional football player's spouse in VH1's original series. VH1's "Football Wives" include: Pilar Sanders, married to Deion Sanders, all-pro cornerback, retired * Amanda Davis married to Leonard Davis, guard, Dallas * Chanita Foster, married to George Foster, tackle, UFL * Brittany Pigrenet, girlfriend of David Buehler, kicker, Dallas * Dawn Neufeld, married to Ryan Neufeld, tight end, UFL * Melani Ismail, married to Rocket Ismail, receiver, retired * Erin McBriar, married to Mat McBriar, punter, Dallas * Mercedes Nelson ex-girlfriend of a star player, Dallas

Set in the cradle of American football, Dallas, this series goes inside the real-life locker room of the spouses of some of the biggest footballers in the game. Many of these ladies live the life. They drive the best cars, live in the biggest mansions, wear designer clothes and jewelry, and travel first class. But living the high life is not all glamour and is frequently fleeting. Football players are often injured so their partners are forced to not only play wife, but also be a mother or nurse to their man. The careers of these modern-day gladiators span only a few years on average and their life-expectancy is alarmingly low. There is often a fine line between the stars who collect big contracts and the journeymen who fight to stay in the league, sometimes struggling to pay their bills. And unlike basketball players, football stars travel less for games and are more often home with their families. What price will they pay for enduring the equivalent of multiple head-on collisions on any given Sunday? - more on this story
