Harmonious bec is the Japanese duo ZaMaRoo and From Vapor to Water, covert composers of intriguing, eclectic electronica. The group's debut album, "Her Strange Dreams", is scheduled to be released November 16, 2010 on Monotreme Records.

The songs on "Her Strange Dreams" have everything from the ominous ambience of a dream world, the relentless techno groove of an urban nightscape, jazzy piano, staccato cut-up hip-hop, and ethereal female vocals to exploding artillery, playful upbeat bleepery, and hyperactive R.E.M. states - all while Japanese themes/traditional instrumentation weave in and out. Think of musicians like DJ Shadow, Boards of Canada, Mϊm, The Books, FourTet, and Radiohead. Guest artists on the album include Mizube and 1968.

Saharan Gazelle Boy's Strange Teen Heart
Strange Teen Heart is the second Record Machine release for Saharan Gazelle Boy, a collaboration between Capybara's Darin Seal and Sea Change (aka Sarah Handelman).

The EP is a super-quad of songs that conjure the love, loneliness and naivetι of teendom while continuing to develop the sleepy, bedroom pop of Saharan's Airplane's Can't.

The melodramatic, synth-pop is the soundtrack for the shy, 1980s, pretty-but-doesn't-know-it high school girl in all of us. - more on this story

Christina Perri Follows Up So You Think You Can Dance Stardom With Debut Video
You discovered her on So You Think You Can Dance and now Christina Perri has released her debut music video for her song "Jar Of Hearts."

Directed by Jay Martin (Death Cab for Cutie, Cold War Kids, Wolfmother), the video was shot on a soundstage designed as a New York City street and features SYTYCD All-Stars Kathryn McCormick and Allison Holker (who both danced to Christina's song on the show) as well as Keltie Colleen, Peter Chu, Chelsea Thedinga, Chantel Aguirre and Eboni Adams. The dancers were choreographed by none-other than SYTYCD's Stacey Tookey, who is responsible for using "Jar of Hearts" in the show on June 30th. Check it out here

A few months ago Christina Perri was waiting tables in LA when her friend Keltie Colleen, a Radio City Rockette, passed along Christina's demo to her friend Stacey Tookey, a choreographer on the hit show So You Think You Can Dance? Taken by the raw, defiant break-up song named "Jar of Hearts", Tookey used it as the backdrop for a memorable choreographed piece that aired on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance on June 30th. - more on this story

Turzi Going Soph
(Girlie) Experimental French artist Turzi has announced the details of his sophomore album, B, due out September 24th through the visionary French label Record Makers. B is the follow-up to Turzi's debut album, A.

The emphasis on improvisation that forms the live hallmark of the band was captured on A– continental rock, melded together in frenetic but disciplined fashion with tinges of Ennio Morricone. There are two sides to Turzi- the leader, and his band. Romain Turzi is the leader. Hailing from Versailles, his youth was fueled by experimentation, with hours spent in bedrooms surrounded by synthesizers, and surrounded by violently fierce live shows around Paris.

In April 2008 Turzi was personally invited to support Simian Mobile Disco and The Whip on an NME endorsed tour around the UK. A line up blessed with the ability to satisfy hardened rockers as well as casual clubbers.
