Get Intimate With Josh Groban
Josh Groban has announced that he will perform four intimate shows next month ahead of the release of his new album, Illuminations, which is due from 143/Reprise Records on November 15th, 2010.

Groban has decided to perform these intimate shows (three in California and one in Connecticut), which feature just him on piano accompanied by his guitarist, with a specific goal in mind: To involve the audience in the initial planning stages of his Illuminations World Tour in 2011.

Says Groban, "Going on tour involves so many steps to get ready for what people eventually see as the big production. The first step is simple. I sit down in my living room at the piano and play. I try to explore the songs in a different light and also just practice as much as possible to get the songs in my hands and voice. I also think about playing songs I haven't played on tour in years. And then I might bring in my guitarist to work more songs out. All of this happens before we move it into a more formal rehearsal space with the full band and orchestra. However, this time around, I want to try something different. I want to bring my Living Room to you. I want the "first step" for this tour to be in front of you." - more on this story

The Black Eyed Peas Dirty Dancing
(PR) The unveiling today by will.i.am on his social networking site of "The Time (The Dirty Bit)" as the first single from the Black Eyed Peas' forthcoming album, The Beginning, is an out-of-this-world coincidence to the writer of the "Dirty Dancing" smash hit "(I've Had) The Time of My Life," whose chorus is the heartbeat of this pulsing new recording.

Franke Previte, who won the Oscar and Golden Globe for writing "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" and cleared the song for the genre-bending supergroup to release their new single, is astounded that the announcement of this explosive new single arrives just a few weeks after he released the original demo recording of "(I've Had) the Time of My Life" to raise money for the Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund at Stanford.

Furthering the coincidence surrounding his song, notes Previte, is the re-emergence of Jennifer Grey as a heavily favored contestant on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

Darius Rucker On Top
Darius Rucker's new album, Charleston, SC 1966, has debuted at the top of the Billboard Country Album Chart.

In just one week the record has sold over 100,000 units-- naming Rucker only the 4th country artist this year to debut with over 100,000 first week sales along with Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band.

The new album's title pays homage to Radney Foster's album Del Rio, Texas 1959, which Darius says was a "light switch" record for him. "It really changed the way I heard music," said Rucker. "Not just country music, but the way I heard music in general- it was huge for me."

DaVinci, Roach Gigz, San Quinn, Big Rich & Cellski Release San Francisco Giants Anthem
(Audible Treats) DJ Amen and Prince Aries have teamed up for "Black & Orange," a tribute to the San Francisco Giants, their favorite ball club. They've enlisted the help of a few notable locals with the track as well, including San Quinn, Big Rich, Cellski, DaVinci and Roach Gigz.

The song is a remix of Wiz Kahifa's new single "Black & Yellow" and its four minutes gives each artist the chance to show off their skills and rep their home town and home team. San Quinn, Big Rich and Cellski are all long-established figures in the Bay Area scene and to see them rap alongside newer up-and-comers accurately portrays San Francisco to be the hip-hop hotbed that it is.

Such a song could not come at a more appropriate time, as the Giants are one win away from moving on to this year's World Series. As if San Francisco wasn't already fired up, this provides fans with the anthem to root their team. - Check it out here
