After all, it's not as if she's suing E-Trade for a hopelessly inflated, Dr Evil-style sum of money that would instantly make you question her basic relationship with reality, is it? What? She's suing E-Trade for $100 million? Okaaaay. They go on to argue, "If the baby really was modeled on Lindsay Lohan, then it wouldn't really look like a baby – it'd look like a structurally-compromised Terrahawk puppet, have the voice of Dr Claw from Inspector Gadget, chainsmoke and often forget to wear knickers in public. Following his triumphant worldwide reunion tour with Return To Forever in 2008 and separate trio tours in 2009 with Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke and pianist Hiromi with Clarke, Lenny White was primed to put out his own recording, his first as a leader in ten years. With Anomaly, the pioneering jazz-rock drummer returns to his roots, blending powerhouse backbeats and improvisational abandon in a bold, unapologetically aggressive manner that characterized the early 70s fusion movement. "We need to restart a revolution so that we can take back the music and stop the fluff," says White. "I'm hoping that this new album is a representation of that ideal." Accompanied by a crew of guitar killers in Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), Nick Moroch (a former member of White's Astral Pirates), David Gilmore, Tom Guarna and David Bendeth, keyboardists George Colligan, Bernard Wright, Donald Blackman (another Astral Pirate ) and Vince Evans and bassists Victor Bailey, Richie Goods, Charles Fambrough and his RTF bandmate Stanley Clarke, White unleashes with Zeppelinesque fury on Anomaly, his tenth overall recording as a leader.

While the world impatiently waits for Jack Davey and Brook D'Leau of J*DaVeY to release their Warner Bros. album New Designer Drug, we are left to lust after their every creative morsel. Luckily, Jack and Brook have blessed us with a visual for their recently released freebie track "Get Together." The genre-scramblers serve up another gem made of one-part electronic music, two-parts soul, a dash of hip hop, and a little more than a pinch of sex appeal with a video that can only be described as a futuristic amalgamation of Tinkerbell meets The Shining. Directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Veronica Hinds, the video takes viewers on a journey of transcendence as the main characters are lured away from their everyday lives by a floating orb of light that leads them to the entrance of the unknown. When asked about the main concept behind the video Jack Davey explains, "I kept seeing a processional march down a hallway... and wanted to convey the main characters following their light to a meeting place." This concept was adopted to convey the main message behind the song; transcendence - breaking free of the confines of the everyday to experience a life without boundaries. "People need to step out of their individual bubbles and start connecting with other people" says Jack Davey. "Step outside of your comfort zone and feel something new, try something new, speak to someone new, transcend." This message rings especially true with fans who recognize J*DaVeY for their refusal to be boxed into a stereotype or genre. When the glowing orb appears in front of you, will you follow it? Are you ready to break away from the confines of everyday life and explore a new dimension with Jack and Brook?
