Beyonce Wins Fight
Beyonce's win for "Best Fight" from the 2009 movie, Obsessed, at the MTV Movie Awards, marked her very first win for MTV's nod to the big screen.

The fight toward the end of the film was the most talked about in years and an obvious fan favorite. Winners are determined by online voting.

The fight scene pitted Beyonce's character, Sharon, against Ali Larter's character, Lisa, in a brawl to the finish, including an audience-cheering head butt. The fight was up against Hugh Jackman and Live Schreiver's in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Logan Lerman and Jake Abel's in Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Strong's in Sherlock Holmes and Sam Worthington and Stephen Land's in Avatar. - more on this story

David Guetta Says Timbaland and Rihanna Collaboration Lacked Balls
Beatportal has an interesting new interview with David Guetta where he calls out Timbaland and Rihanna's collaboration for lacking balls. Here is that part of the exchange: A lot of pop and hip-hop artists are working with electronic producers these days. Why do you think there's so much crossover right now?

I don't want to sound conceited, but I think it's very much because we did it with the Black Eyed Peas, and I did it with Akon and with Kelly Rowland—we're talking about some of the biggest selling records ever. American people are very simple, they go for what's number one, and they want to do the same thing. I'm not saying I'm the only one, because for example, there was that Crookers remix of Kid that was really influential, but that record wasn't successful in America, it was successful in Europe. It did influence me, for sure.

There were some little signs. Like what Timbaland was doing, and Rihanna, but they were being shy, they didn't have the balls to go 100%. What I respect in Will.I.Am for calling me, he was like, "We're not going to try to emulate that sound, we're just going to do it". - Read the full interview here

Miley Denies Lesbian Kiss
Miley Cyrus is a little controversy machine. The pop singer addressed the latest scandal via her blog where she denied engaging in a lesbian kiss on British TV.

Here is what she had to say: "I performed Can't Be Tamed this week on one of my favourite shows here in the U.K., Britain's Got Talent. I had such a blast and was so honored to be on that stage. That being said during my performance I supposedly "KISSED A GIRL" and this is the newest thing to cause controversy.

"I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers can't even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story. I really hope my fans are not disappointed in me because the truth is I did nothing wrong. I got up there and did my job which is to perform to the best of my ability. I just want to put an end to this right now and just say one thing to everyone out there making this performance such a big deal. GET OVER IT! NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE ARE WAYYYYYYY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD." - Watch and judge for yourself

Eleven-Years-Old Broadway Star Battling For Her Life, Perhaps You Can Help?
Out of adversity, comes hope. Please keep this in mind as you read the following story and perhaps you will be the one to help?: At just eleven-years-old Shannon Tavarez already had a promising Broadway career. She was performing four shows a week as young Nala in The Lion King. Everyday Shannon juggled a full day of school before rushing to the theater for an evening show at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway-- She was living her dream.

Now, just two months later, Shannon's dream is simply to grow up. In April Shannon was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. The talented young star was performing when the symptoms first hit. Her lower back and legs suddenly started hurting making it hard for her to perform or even walk. "When I found out, it hit me really hard, like someone was throwing a ball at me. It was shocking and I thought, why me?" said Shannon. Now she lives at Schneider Children's Hospital in Long Island where she receives daily chemotherapy treatments. A bone marrow transplant from a stranger may be her only chance at survival.

Shannon's mother is African American and her father is Dominican. Only eight percent of the seven million registered donors are African American which means that only seventeen percent of African Americans in need of a transplant will receive one. - more on this story

Marc Mysterio Caught in The G20 Riots
We have a follow-up to the story about Marc Mysterio. Apparently Marc was undaunted by losing Canadian Top Model Kirsten Comerford for his video shoot (due to the riots in Toronto) and went ahead with it anyway. But he himself got to see the riots up-close and in-person as a result.

"We were just driving down the street, and a riot between cops and protesters had broken out in the street in front of us as we traveled between locations - the cops even banged on our hood with their baton threatening us even though we were boxed in by traffic - a frightening situation, to say the least" said Marc Mysterio in a statement.

"What is the real purpose of this summit? Why could it not be effectuated over Skype? It just seems very capricious and indifferent to not only hold this in the 3rd largest market in North America, but also to fence in the downtown-core, post-apocalyptic style - did they not realize that this will inflict major trauma upon the citizens of our city? Honestly, I feel traumatized and I'm sure the cops do as well and, moreover, after the G20 is over, I hope these tensions will not linger." - previous report
