Mindy McCready Sex Tape Reports Response
(Submitted News) In response to the media and outpour of inquires surrounding an alleged "Mindy McCready Sex Tape," Attorney Adam Dread, counsel for Mindy McCready, has made the following statement: "We are not aware of the production or release of the alleged film that seems to have surfaced via various media reports. However, we can confirm that any illegally- obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, and the release thereof, will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure."

There was also a follow up announcement sent: Upon notification that Vivid Entertainment has not provided proof of distribution rights and/or ownership to release the so-called Mindy McCready "Baseball Mistress," Spike.com has pulled the corresponding teaser video.

Both Attorney Adam Dread, legal counsel for Mindy McCready, and McCready are hopeful other outlets will follow suit; according to Dread, Vivid has yet to provide proof of authorization or authenticity.

Britney Spears Taking Over Fuse
Fuse continues its Artist Takeover Mondays on April 5th with an entire day dedicated to Britney Spears. Starting at 11am ET, viewers can catch all of the pop icon's legendary music videos in a block of artist dedicated shows including "The Britney Spears Chronicles" and "Loaded: Britney Spears."

Britney Spears began her journey of becoming a pop sensation in 1999 with her debut album, …Baby One More Time, which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts and has since sold over 25 million copies. Nearly 11 years later the Grammy-winning artist continues to entertain fans with hit records, tours and signature dance moves.

Britney fans can log onto Fuse.tv now to pay homage to the pop star by uploading photos and/or videos of themselves dressed in their favorite Britney look. Whether you prefer her school-girl look or red leather jumpsuits, Fuse wants to see it all. Select photos will be featured on the site April 1st along with a Britney Spears photo gallery and additional information on programming.

Critics slammed Miley Cyrus in her first movie made outside her "Hannah Montana" character as it opened in U.S. theaters on Wednesday, but "The Last Song" was still expected to perform well at box offices. Lou Lumenick of the New York Post called it "the most dubious 'dramatic' debut of any singer since Britney Spears" and took Cyrus to task for "displaying approximately one and a half expressions." Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin are being inducted into the Apollo Theater's hall of fame in New York City. The late King of Pop and the Queen of Soul will be honored with the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame on June 14 more.

David Mills, a veteran television writer who worked on the award-winning series "ER" and "The Wire," died after collapsing on the set of his latest production. He was 48. more

Michelle Branch explained her album delay and revealed that she has worked on new songs and will add them on the upcoming release. "There are a handful of people out there that think for some reason that I have control over my album being released. Yes, I have a large say but sometimes things happen that are out of my hands," so she stated. more

Monica Standing Close To The Top of the Charts
Monica latest album, Still Standing, debuts this week at no. 1 on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop Album chart and no. 2 on Billboard's Top 200 and Digital Albums charts, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

With over 184,000 units sold since its March 23 release on J Records, Still Standing nears the first week sales of After The Storm, Monica's 2003 release which sold 186,000 units.

Lindsay Lohan Child Trafficking Film Doesn't Go Far Enough?
Hollywood diva Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls) is promoting her documentary on child trafficking in India on Twitter and Indo-Americans are asking her to take this project seriously and worldwide.

Lohan posted on Twitter: "it's a massive world issue, & it goes on everyday. i just want people to recognize the more important things in the world-rather than gossip" and "my documentary for the BBC network is coming out soon...It's about child trafficking in India...I'd like to encourage everyone to watch it!!"

Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that one hurried run through India by Lohan would not solve the massive and worldwide problem of child trafficking. She needed to focus her energies and create a world-level program to undertake this important project if it was close to her heart, Zed, who is chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, added.

Jason Castro Announces Headlining Tour
Jason Castro has announced plans for his first-ever headlining tour. The dates herald the release of his much-anticipated debut LP, "JASON CASTRO," which arrives in stores and at all online retailers on April 13th.

Castro will kick off his first headlining tour in his home state of Texas with an April 17th show at Dallas's The Loft. The trek will then traverse the US through mid-May (see attached itinerary). A further slate of summer tour dates will be announced shortly.

"JASON CASTRO" is highlighted by the new single, "That's What I'm Here For," which is currently scoring at Hot AC radio outlets nationwide. CBS Launches Road to the ACM Awards Web Series
On Monday, March 29, in anticipation of the 45th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards, CBS.com premiered the first episode of Road to the ACM Awards, a four-part documentary series featuring country music star Josh Thompson.

The web series gives fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Josh's life on the road during his current nation-wide Jager tour, in addition to revealing Josh's personal favorites to win at the ACM's.

The next three parts of the series will continue to debut over the next several weeks, leading up to the 45th Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards, to be broadcast April 18 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on CBS.
