McCartney was very happy to be working in a group situation with Wings and Rockshow is presented as the group effort that it was and not just constantly focused on Macca. To that end band members all get their moments in the spotlight; the late Jimmy McCulloch sings "Medicine Jar," Denny Laine gets to reprise his vocal turn on the early Moody Blues hit "Go Now" and Joe English and the late Linda McCartney get their share of camera time too.

McCartney switches back and forth from bass to piano and also plays acoustic guitar for a portion of the show, most notably on the Beatles hit "Yesterday."

This was the first tour since the break-up of the Fab Four where McCartney played any Beatles songs and the set also includes "Blackbird," "Bluebird," "I've Just Seen a Face" and a rollicking, slightly sped-up version of "Lady Madonna." But the draw here is the endless list of Wings hits, "My Love," "Listen to What the Man Said," "Hi Hi Hi," "Silly Love Songs," "Band on the Run," "Jet" and "Beware My Love" among them.

Rockshow is packaged in the small (the size of a DVD box) hardback book format with the disc housed in with 30-pages of notes and photos.
