Former Korn drummer David Silveria has struck a plea deal for his DUI arrest last March in Orange County, Ca. Silveria was charged with driving under the influence after he admitted to police that he had taken a sleeping pill the night before.
He was questioned after he rear-ended another vehicle while on the way to breakfast and then allegedly left the scene of the accident on March 25th in Huntington Beach, Ca.
Silveria said that he suffered from insomnia and had taken a sleeping pill, but didn't realize that he was still too exhausted to drive the next morning when the accident occurred.
The drummer originally entered a not guilty plea to the DUI as well as a hit and run charge.
The hit and run charge was reportedly dropped in exchange for his new guilty plea to the DUI, according to TMZ.
As a result of the plea, Silveria was sentenced to three years of informal probation, a three-month first offender program and required attendance at a M.A.D.D. victim impact panel.
