Lindsey Vonn Airlifted To Hospital After Ski Accident
. Vonn reportedly lost her balance during a jump and tore two knee ligaments and broke her leg in the resulting fall at the Alpine Super-G World Ski Championships, according to Ace Show Biz. They report that U.S. Ski Team Medical Director Kyle Wilkens said Vonn tore two of the major ligaments of her right knee (the anterior cruciate (and medial collateral ligaments) and fractured a bone in her leg. Paramedics examined Vonn on the scene before she was airlifted to an area hospital. The report states that doctors indicated she needed surgery but not if she had received it yet.
