Frank Ocean Decides Not To Press Charges Against Chris Brown
. Ocean addressed the issue to fans with a posting on his Tumblr page which said, "As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. "I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace." TMZ reported last week that a witness told them that Brown lost his cool in the parking lot of the Westlake Recording Studios in L.A. after Ocean refused to shake his hand. They were told that Ocean simply laughed at the gesture ... and Brown became so angry that he cold-cocked Ocean and that led to the brawl. Brown's camp reportedly places the blame on Ocean. Last week it was reported that Ocean did intend to press charges. Radio.com reported that Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told them "Yes he does [want to press charges]. All it means is that he wants it to go forward with the investigation."
