(SBI) Producer Sergio George and his collective, the Salsa Giants, have announced the initial dates for their 2014 tour, which will see the group perform in various locations in North and South America throughout next year. Each tour stop will feature select members of the Salsa Giants including Oscar D'León, Cheo Feliciano, Andy Montañez, Willy Chirino, José Alberto "El Canario", Tito Nieves, Silvestre Dangond, Nora from the "Orquesta de la Luz" and Charlie Zaa. More dates will be announced over the coming months.
"The Salsa Giants project has been incredibly important to me and it has been amazing to see it succeed to this extent," said Sergio George. "We are looking forward to taking the show on the road and allowing the world to experience this amazing collection of musicians brought together."
Recently, the group was nominated for a 2014 Grammy® Award for Best Tropical Latin Album. The nomination follows George's trio of wins at the 2013 Latin Grammy® Awards for Producer of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Salsa Album for the Salsa Giants. The group also closed out the show with an incredible performance.
