Gary Clark Jr Leads Blues Grammy Nominations

(The Blues) Gary Clark Jr has been nominated for two Grammy awards, with fellow nominees including James Cotton, Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa.

The 2014 shortlists have been announced ahead of the 56th annual ceremony, which takes place is Los Angeles next month. Clark's first-ever nominations are in the categories of Best Rock Song for Ain't Messin' 'Round and Best Traditional R&B Performance for Please Come Home.

Meanwhile, the Best Blues Album category features Cotton, Hart and Bonamassa, Bobby Rush, Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite and a collaborative release marking the career of Little Walter. more on this story
