.
(The Blues) Chick Willis, best known for his 1972 track Stoop Down Baby, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 79. The guitarist and singer, cousin of CC Rider creator Chuck Willis, found fame when he won an Atlanta, Georgia talent contest in 1956, leading to the release of his first single, You're Mine.

He later played with Elmore James and continued to release tracks, with Stoop Down Baby receiving acclaim but little airplay due to its sexually explicit lyrics.

His most recent album was this year's What's To Become Of The World. He won a number of awards during his career including the Living Blues Awards' Live Performer in 2006 and 2010. more on this story
