One Direction Perform With 'Anchorman' Cast On 'SNL'
. The night started off with Rudd explaining how relieved he was that his third time hosting SNL would finally be "The Paul Rudd Show." He felt that during his first two times as host, he was overshadowed by the performers, and understandably so, as he shared the stage with Beyonce and Paul McCartney. This time, however, he was certain things would be different. That is, until he got a tap on his shoulder from Harry Styles. "Don't worry, Paul we're not here to outshine you," Styles said. "Yeah, bud you just do that comedy stuff and we'll just stand back here and pose and blow kisses," Niall Horan added. What the guys didn't know, though, was that Rudd had something up his sleeve. "You know what, I didn't want it to come to this but I'm also a bit of a singer. You've got your boy band. Well, I brought my man band," he said, as his Anchorman co-stars Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Steve Carell took the stage. Watch below as they all sing "Afternoon Delight," a Ron Burgundy favorite (naturally). The laughs didn't stop there, though. In one of the skits, Rudd plays a middle-aged man attending a 1D concert at Madison Square Garden. He's seen bonding with the girls in attendance, singing along to 1D songs, and braiding girls' hair. But as One Direction come out the backstage door, pandemonium arises with Rudd at the forefront, begging for an autograph from the guys. Watch it here.
