"It gets a little annoying especially because we don't think we're anything like Mumford & Sons," O'Regan told Radio.com backstage at Lollapalooza. "They go, 'Oh, they have vocal harmony.' And the first thing that comes in their head is, 'Oh they're like Mumford & Sons.' I think as time goes on people will see we're really nothing like them."

The band hopes people will finally see that they are nothing like Mumford or Of Monsters and Men or the Lumineers or Florence and the Machine or any other band they've have been compared to since releasing their debut, Absolute Zero, back in March.

The Dublin-based quintet got their start in 2008 in a bungalow in Appleby's parents' backyard with the goal to win a battle of the bands competition. Though the group lost, the failure cemented their decision to continue to pursue music.

They produced a handful of demos which helped raise their profile and earn them a spot on a tour with Jake Bugg. It also earned them a slot on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, an experience the band is still in awe of.

"It's all a bit of a blur actually. We're all big Jimmy Fallon fans," O'Regan admitted. "Growing up in Ireland, and watching that from a TV screen all the way across the water, it's surreal when you finally get there at NBC studios and going down the hallway and seeing all The Roots' suits hanging up on the railing. It was so nerve-wracking but it was amazing. And also over in a flash."
