Country Singer Chris Young Hospitalized

(Radio.com) Country singer Chris Young is laid up in a Denver area hospital with a leg infection, according to a statement from his label, Sony Music Nashville. Thankfully he is listed in stable condition, but he has had to cancel several shows this week in Montana, Oregon, and British Columbia.

Young is currently expected to resume touring next week, beginning with his Aug. 21 date in Redding, Calif. "I'm so sorry to disappoint the fans but I didn't even know I was sick," Young said in a press statement.

"One minute I was fine then suddenly I'm being rushed to the hospital. I look forward to being up and around and back on the road."

Sony reports that the origin of the infection is not yet known, and that Young will remain hospitalized for at least another day. more on this story
