Gov't Mule Premiere New Song Featuring Dave Matthews

(Classic Rock) Classic Rock have premiered two versions of new Gov't Mule track "Forsaken Savior", the album recording, alongside a bonus version featuring guest vocals by Dave Matthews.

With the upcoming release of Shout, their first record in four years, Gov't Mule will offer an "unprecedented twist" – the 11-track disc will be accompanied by a second disc featuring alternative takes of each song with a big-name vocalist.

Collaborators include Glenn Hughes, Myles Kennedy, Steve Winwood, Dr John and Elvis Costello. Frontman Warren Haynes says: "No one's done this before, which is exciting – but it's even more exciting actually listening to these artists sing our songs. Their performances bring new ideas, energy and sometimes even different meanings to every number." Check out both versions here.
