(Classic Rock) The next Slipknot album will feature songwriting elements from late bassist Paul Gray, who threw the band into turmoil when he died of an accidental overdose in 2010. Percussionist Clown Crahan says: "There are songs he's written that will be part of the next record. We're all going to have to think like him and he'll be there."
Meanwhile, frontman Corey Taylor is due to announce a "brand-new project" at the New York Comic Con on October 13. It's believed to be connected with a comic book based on new Stone Sour concept album House of Gold and Bones. More rock news.
