(PH) M. Ward has canceled his two upcoming live performances that we set to take place this week due to illness. Those appearances include: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame series, Roll Over Beethoven: The Life and Music of Chuck Berry on October 27th at Playhouse Square's State Theater in Cleveland as well as his upcoming October 25th show at Park West in Chicago. Refunds available at point of purchase.
Last Sunday's postponed Los Angeles performance at the Orpheum Theatre is now rescheduled for February 7, 2013. Tickets for the October 21st date will be honored for February 7th.
Unable to fly last week due to doctor's orders, Ward is on his way to a full recovery and is deeply disappointed that he won't be able to complete these scheduled performances in Chicago and Cleveland.
In a statement released on Monday he said, "Out of millions of lead guitar players in the world, Chuck Berry stands alone as a true inventor of the artform. Everyone who plays guitar is indebted to his creations whether or not they realize it. "Roll Over Beethoven" is a perfect song - one that we recorded a few years ago, released this year and continue to play every chance we get. I am honored to have been given an opportunity to share a stage with Mr. Berry but, unfortunately, a stupid virus has kept me home in bed. I'll be there in spirit."
