Soul Asylum are set to headline Chicago's longest-running New Year's Eve party, the Rock 'N' Roll Ball.The band will be performing at the event, in support of their new album, Delayed Reaction.
The annual Chicago event will take place at the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare (5300 N. River Road, Rosemont) on Monday, December 31 and feature live music in three ballrooms from Soul Asylum, Hairbangers Ball, Miles Nielsen, top dance DJs and more.

Formed in the summer of 1981 by high school friends Dan Murphy, Karl Mueller, and Dave Pirner, Soul Asylum quickly became frontrunners of American college rock. They hit it big in the 90s with chart-topping songs like Runaway Train, Let Your Dim Light Shine and Misery. Now, hot off a critically-acclaimed new album this summer, Delayed Reaction, and armed with three decades of jams, Soul Asylum has its sights set high for the Rock 'N' Roll Ball and beyond. Miles Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts will open up the show.
Party Room: Swift, brave and utterly hard core, Chicago's own 80s rhythmic riders-of-the-night, Hairbangers Ball, headlines the Cassatt Ballroom. The iconic cover band roams the country offering up primeval hymnals of Poison, Guns 'n Roses, Def Leppard, Mφtley Crόe and Bon Jovi - just to name a few. Opener TBA.
