(VSC) Southfork Ranch mourns the loss of Larry Hagman along with his fans around the world. Southfork was considered the home of his larger-than-life character J.R. Ewing from the long-running series "Dallas," which aired on CBS from 1978 to 1991. He also reprised his iconic role in TNT's all-new "Dallas," which debuted in June 2012. Hagman also considered Southfork his home away from home. He was always excited to come back to the ranch and even had a family outing planned the day of his passing. Southfork Ranch will honor his life by offering the public complimentary tours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. A memorial reception will follow, during which guests may leave cards, flowers, sign his memorial book and pay their respects to him. Staff at Forever Resorts, the company that now owns the historic Southfork Ranch, had the honor of working with Hagman over the years. "Larry infused much life and excitement into the show 'Dallas' and his dynamic personality and great sense of humor will never be forgotten," said Jimmy Gomes, vice president, Forever Resorts. "To everyone here at Southfork Ranch, the recent filming of the new 'Dallas' series has felt like family coming home again. He will be greatly missed."
