It would be one of the strangest pairings in music history: Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor and Justin Bieber, and Taylor tried to make it happen. Taylor told Revolver Magazine that the idea came to him from watching a fan made Youtube mash-up of Bieber's hit "Baby" with Slipknot track "Psychosocial Baby," according to NME.
"I know Justin wasn't responsible for it, but I just thought it was so cool. Everybody thought I'd be pissed about it, but I was blown away… I give him respect," Taylor reportedly told Revolver. "He's a very talented kid and he goes above and beyond for his fans."
The mash-up video then is said to have given Taylor the idea of having an impromptu live session with the teen pop star. "I was in Baltimore on my book tour and Justin was nearby in Washington, DC. I tried to get him down to my reading because I wanted to try to do an acoustic version of "Psychosocial Baby" together," Taylor said. "But he was actually visiting children's hospitals.
