(hennemusic) The Experience Music Project (EMP) in Seattle has launched a new exhibit entitled "Hear My Train a Comin': Hendrix Hits London." On Saturday, EMP celebrated the exhibit's opening with "Hear My Train a Comin': The Concert."The event featured an all-star lineup of musical greats playing the songs of Jimi Hendrix, featuring Jimi's bandmate and friend Billy Cox, with special performances by guitarists Ian Moore, Ernie Isley (Isley Brothers), Eric Gales (Lauryn Hill), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Duff McKagan (Loaded), Brandi Carlile, Audley Freed (Sheryl Crow), Jeff Fielder (Sera Cahoone, Mark Lanegan), Barrett Martin (Walking Papers, Screaming Trees, Mad Season), and drummer Mike Musburger (Fastbacks, Posies).
Some video from Saturday's event has surfaced, including footage of Duff McKagan and Pearl Jam's Mike McCready teaming up with drummer Barrett Martin on "Voodoo Child" and "Machine Gun," the latter featuring singer Brandi Carlile. Check out video here.
