(hennemusic) There was a Chickenfoot reunion, of sorts, Wednesday night in Boston. Drummer Chad Smith rejoined the 'Foot for the encore portion of the band's show at the city's Orpheum Theatre.Smith has been unable to tour with Chickenfoot since the 2011 release of "Chickenfoot III" due to his recording and touring commitments with the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Chad's recommendation, Kenny Aronoff, has been handling drum duties in his absence. Smith took the Orpheum stage to perform a drum solo before the group launched into their 4-song encore, which included covers of tracks by Jimi Hendrix and Montrose. Check out video
