(Gibson) A classic Alice Cooper concert depicting the makeup-ed rocker during his famed 1979 Madhouse Rock Tour is set to reach DVD on May 22. The Strange Case of Alice Cooper features footage of the shock rocker playing songs from his 1978 album, From the Inside, plus a selection of earlier hits. Highlights include Cooper singing "School's Out," "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "I'm Eighteen" and "I Never Cry" – all true Alice favorites.
Of course, this wasn't a tame show. Cooper's concert reportedly was inspired by his visit to a New York sanitarium and offers plenty of creepy allusions to the visit. The DVD also will offer an introduction by none other than late horror-film star Vincent Price. more on this story
