The Staves have set a May 22nd digital release date for their new EP, "The Motherlode EP". The EP features the trio's new single - the Glyn and Ethan Johns co-production "The Motherlode" - a companion video for which can be viewed now at The Staves' official YouTube channel here.
"The Motherlode EP" will be followed by the group's debut album, set for release later this year. In the meantime, The Staves will be hitting the road in North America with a major tour.
The dates get underway May 21st at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and then continue through early June.
The Staves have also slated a series of high profile U.S. festival appearances, including the 2012 Sasquatch! MusicFestival at The Gorge in George, Washington on May 27th and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10th.
