(Classic Rock) Filming for the Jimi Hendrix biopic is going ahead despite protestations from the late guitarist's estate, according to movie director John Ridley.CMU reports today that Ridley will definitely begin filming his Hendrix movie in Ireland later this month, with Outkast rapper Andre 3000 (aka part-time actor Andre Benjamin) in the lead role.
Called All Is By My Side, it's set in England in 1966 and tells the story behind the recording of Hendrix's debut album Are You Experienced. more on this story
