(hennemusic) Rush have been honored once again in their homeland. CBC reports Rush are among the winners of a Governor General's Performing Arts Award, it was announced Tuesday in Calgary.Each artist honored receives a cash award of $25,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts and a commemorative medallion struck by the Royal Canadian Mint. Rush are one of rock's most influential bands with remarkable longevity and a track record that includes selling more than 40 million albums since 1974. more on this story
