Billboard reports the UK singer's "21" album spends a 22nd week at #1 on the chart, making it the longest-running #1 since Prince & the Revolution's "Purple Rain" soundtrack scored 24 weeks on top in 1984 and 1985. Adele sold another 297,000 copies (down 59% from the previous week), according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The new chart also represents "21's" ninth consecutive week at #1 - the most in-a-row since the "Titanic" soundtrack's 14 weeks in 1998. more on this story
