(Gibson) Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister has spoken out against the price of his band's new box set. The new box set in question, Complete Early Years Box Set, has been priced at around $600.According to CNN.com, Lemmy blames record company greed on the pricing: "Unfortunately greed once again rears its yapping head," he said. "I would advise against it even for the most rabid completists!"
The set focuses on the band's early recordings, which they don't own the rights to. "Motφrhead have no control over what's done with these early songs, and don't want fans to think that the band is involved in putting out such a costly box set," the band said in a statement. more on this story
