Norah Jones has made her first public statement about the death of her father, sitar legend Ravi Shankar, who died this week at the age of 92."My Dad's music touched millions of people," she said in a short statement released by her record label. "He will be greatly missed by me and music lovers everywhere."
Jones also posted a video clip on her Facebook page with the caption, "Here are some great clips of my Dad playing the Sitar for anyone who never saw him perform live. He's 51 in the first clip and 92 in the second clip, and an inspiration in both. I love you and miss you, Pops." Watch the clip here.
