Former Nile and Divine Heresy bassist Joseph Payne was reportedly arrested in a drug distribution sting in North Carolina. Charlotte, NC television station WSOCTV ran a report about the arrest of Joseph Payne and a 23-year-old man who were charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and maintaining a vehicle.
The sheriff's office said that the two men were arrested following an investigation into "marijuana being transported from the Charlotte area and distributed in Iredell County." They also said that they seized over 6 pounds of marijuana, three handguns and more than $5,000.
Payne was not identified in the report as a former member of either band, but it does appear to be the metal musician in the arrest photo posted with the article and Lambgoat reports it was the former Nile and Divine Heresy member that was arrested. You can read their report here.
