(CBS Local) Among the many attractions at last week's splashy Spotify press conference with Lars Ulrich of Metallica and Glassnote Records CEO Daniel Glass (who announced a new Phoenix album for 2013), alternative R&B star Frank Ocean performed a short set during which he offered a brief cover version of Radiohead's 1995 single, "Fake Plastic Trees."The understated performance was the culmination of the extremely exclusive event, with a majority of the music industry-heavy audience seemingly oblivious to Ocean's nod towards Thom Yorke's famous band, given the audible din of conversations in the background.
The cover continued in Ocean's tradition of performing abbreviated cover versions in concert. more on this story
