Sea of Treachery have been forced to cancel their headline run on the A Metal Christmas leg of the A Metal Christmas & A Heavy New Year Tour. The band offered this explaination: "There is no easy way to say this, but about a week ago we found out that due to personal issues, Tommy wouldn't be able to join us on the Metal Christmas Tour. Since then, we attempted to work with 2 different fill-in drummers and it wasn't working out.
"Without a solid drummer, we have been forced to drop off the Metal Christmas Tour. It is the worst feeling on the planet, because we would much rather be on the road playing for you than sitting at home being bummed.
"We apologize to everyone that was excited to see us, to the promoters of the shows, to the other bands on the tour and to everyone who helped organize the tour.
"Please understand this was completely out of our hands and if we had it our way, we would be on our way to start our last tour of the year.
"In the meantime, we are going to be writing feverishly to complete the new record. Expect a couple demos to surface in the next few weeks and PLEASE check out the Metal Christmas Tour if it's coming through your town. All the bands on it are incredible and you are definitely in for a treat.
"Thanks for understanding and try not to say anything too harsh, because we already feel like sh*t about the whole thing. We love you guys and letting our friends down is punishment enough.
"See you in 2013."
A Metal Christmas & A Heavy New Year Tour will continue with headliners Texas In July and Close To Home and support from Onward To Olympas, We Are Defiance, The Overseer, Creations, From Atlantis, Horizons, One Year Later, Serianna and Auburn. Tour details are here.
