(Gibson) Kid Rock is getting into the fall football spirit. The Detroit Rock City musician is one of the many artists partnering with Pepsi to celebrate all things football through music. The musicians have recorded their own anthems for their home teams, which will be unleashed via PepsiAnthems.com and available for download.Kid Rock, being a Detroit guy, has whipped up a song in honor of none other than the Detroit Lions. (This Lions fan can't wait to hear it.) Kid Rock's ditty is expected to be released in the coming weeks, and once it's out, fans will be able to download the track with the redemption codes on specially marked packages of Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi MAX.
While Kid Rock is representing rock in the promotion, Pepsi has also tapped artists from the pop, country and hip-hop realms for the promotion. Other musicians taking part in the campaign include Kelly Clarkson (the Dallas Cowboys), Ice Cube (the Oakland Raiders) and Travie McCoy (the New York Giants). The final song to be released with the campaign will be a remixed version of Wiz Khalifa's #1 track, "Black and Yellow," for the Pittsburgh Steelers. more on this story
