Anita Baker Makes History With Her New Single Lately

Anita Baker made history this month with her new single "Lately", which was released digitally on August 7, 2012.

On Monday, August 6th, Baker was the first recording artist ever to have an unprecedented premiere on Urban Adult Contemporary Radio for all Clear Channel stations as they played her single "Lately" every hour on the hour.

"Lately" is produced by The Underdogs and executive produced by Anita Baker and Don Was. The new album "Only Forever" is due out Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

The single has scored many milestones for Baker including:

"Lately" is the highest debut single of anyone on Billboard's Urban AC Chart at #10 in 15 years.

• "Lately" has the #1 most adds on Billboard's Urban AC Chart.

• "Lately" is the biggest debut single in Anita Baker's career since 1994's "Body & Soul" at #15.

• "Lately" has the most increased airplay of the week on Billboard's R&B and HipHop Charts.

• "Lately" has the #1 most adds and the #1 most increased airplay on Billboard's Smooth Jazz Chart and was the #1 most added on the SmoothJazz.com Chart.

• "Lately" has the #1 most adds on the Groove Jazz music Chart.

• "Lately" has the #1 most adds on Radio Wave Internet airplay Music Chart.
