(Hollyscoop) Is it "American Idol" for Jordin Sparks? Not in this lifetime
At the Los Angeles premiere at the singer's first feature film Sparkle, Hollyscoop caught up with Sparks to see what was up for her future ahead. One thing that is definitely a no go is "American Idol." Despite her past success as a contestant on the show, Sparks has little interest in becoming a judge. "No, no. I can say with complete certainty," Jordin said when asked if she'd consider joining the panel. "Um, I wouldn't want to be a judge."
Now at the ripe age of 22, Sparks was the winner of the sixth season of "Idol," making her the youngest champ in the show's history. Though judging is not something that strikes her fancy, Jordin has no ruled out the idea of participating on "Idol" as a whole just yet. "I wouldn't mind being a mentor, which is different. You go and you encourage the contestants. You say good luck, have a good show," she said. "I could never sit there and say 'that wasn't good enough' because I was standing there.'" more on this story
