(Banana 101.5) Metallica's eight-concert run in Mexico City has begun at the Palacia de los Deportes. A video of the 'best effects' during the opening show on Saturday, July 28 is now available. The nine minute clip includes shots of various pyro and lighting effects, including what appeared to be stagehands catching on fire.
During 'Enter Sandman,' a flare malfunctioned, and two stagehands examining it were engulfed in flames. The show was stopped while the fire was extinguished and the crew members were taken off the stage on stretchers. The horrifying event apparently was all a stunt, as a spokesman for the promoter described it as "part of the show." Watch it here.
