(popmusiclife) Coldplay have confirmed that they will appear on American Idol next week. The band will perform on the weekly results show next Thursday, May 3, at which time the contestants will be whittled down from 5 finalists to 4.Last week, Coldplay kicked off their North American tour in Edmonton; the trip is in support of their "Mylo Xyloto" album.
Joining the UK band as openers on the tour will be Metronomy, The Pierces, Robyn, Wolf Gang, Marina and the Diamonds and Emeli Sandι; the artists will rotate during the trip. more on this story
