Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has contributed a brand new song to the Avengers Assemble compilation inspired by the film "Marvel's The Avengers." The track, "Breathe," was co-produced by Weiland's long-time collaborator Doug Grean, marks the release of Weiland's first solo material since last year's surprisingly light-hearted Christmas album, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
Avengers Assemble is set for release on May 1st on Marvel Music/Hollywood Records and also features music from Soundgarden, Shinedown, Rise Against and Pusherjones, and more. "Marvel's The Avengers" opens in theaters nationwide on May 4th.
Stone Temple Pilots will be touring this summer to coincide with the 20th Anniversary release of their multi-platinum selling album, Core. The first date will be September 1st in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
