Miranda Lambert follows closely behind Underwood with four nominations; two for her solo work and two as a member of country trio and first-time nominees Pistol Annies, who are up for Group Video Of The Year and Breakthrough Video Of The Year awards.

Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and Thompson Square are next in line tied for three nominations apiece.

Duo The Civil Wars also received three nominations, including two for their collaboration with Taylor Swift on the hit song "Safe & Sound" from "The Hunger Games" soundtrack.

The 2012 CMT Music Awards mark the 11th anniversary of the awards show and will air LIVE from Nashville on Wednesday, June 6 on CMT and CMT.com.
